2024 WVFL Annual State Convention
Caring Not Killing: Vote for Amendment 1

West Virginians for Life cordially invites individuals of all ages, both young and old, to participate in its distinguished Annual State Pro-Life Convention, scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2024. This pivotal event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Trinity Assembly of God in Fairmont, WV. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as the doors will open at 9 a.m., allowing ample time for registration and fellowship before the day’s program begins. This year’s convention promises to be both enlightening and inspiring, with the theme **“Caring Not Killing”**—a call to protect the vulnerable from the growing threat of medically assisted suicide. The cost of attendance is set at $35, which includes a sumptuous buffet lunch, providing an excellent opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation and reflection during the midday break. In a special effort to involve and empower the next generation of pro-life advocates, we are pleased to offer a reduced rate of $15 for college students and teens. Additionally, groups of 10 or more are eligible for a further discounted rate of $25 per person for adults and $10 per person for college students and teens, making it easier for friends, families, and organizations to attend together.
We are deeply honored to feature Wesley J. Smith, J.D., as our keynote speaker. Mr. Smith is a celebrated author and a globally respected speaker, whose profound contributions to the pro-life movement have earned him international acclaim. As a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute and a consultant to the Patients’ Rights Council, he brings a wealth of expertise and a passionate commitment to the defense of human dignity. In recognition of his relentless advocacy against assisted suicide and euthanasia, the Human Life Foundation awarded him the prestigious title of Great Defender of Life in 2008. His experience includes providing expert testimony before numerous federal and state legislative committees, where his insights have profoundly influenced public policy. Attendees can look forward to hearing Mr. Smith’s compelling perspectives on the importance of safeguarding life at all stages.
The success of this convention is made possible through the generous support of our community, particularly through advertising in the Annual Convention Resource Manual. This manual is distributed to all attendees and shared with advertisers across the state, as well as at fairs, chapter events, and other gatherings throughout the year. It serves as a vital tool for spreading the pro-life message far and wide. We warmly invite you to consider purchasing an advertisement in this manual to support our cause. The deadline for submitting ads and sponsorships is August 16, 2024. Your involvement will not only help defray the costs of the convention but will also ensure that the message of life resonates throughout West Virginia and beyond. Together, we can make a powerful stand for the sanctity of life.
